“समाजाचे देणं समाजालाच द्यावे”, या विचाराने एका समूहाची स्थापना होते. पुढे याच बांधिलकीतून “पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट” ची स्थापना होते. यातूनच सीकेपी समाजातील कर्तृत्ववान, गुणसंपन्न हिरे शोधून त्यांच्या गुणांचा, कार्याचा गौरव करण्याची संकल्पना पुढे आली. ही व्यक्तिमत्वे अशी आहेत कि, ज्यांनी जातीपातींच्या पुढे जाऊन समाजहितासाठी, देशहितासाठी कार्य केले आहे.

“पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट”ची सुरुवात ११ जानेवारी २०१६ रोजी एका छोट्याशा “पुणे सीकेपी फॅमिली” ह्या व्हाट्सअँप समूहाच्या स्थापनेतून झाली. समूहातील आदरणीय सदस्य सर्वश्रुत मा. श्री. सुधीर वैद्य यांचा सन्मान “शिरोमणी” या पुरस्काराने करावयाचे ठरवले. १८ मार्च २०१८ रोजी गुढीपाडव्याच्या शुभमुहूर्तावर हा गौरव सोहोळा संपन्न झाला. श्री सुधीर वैद्य यांच्या बरोबरच त्या दिवशी कला, सामाजिक आणि औद्योगिक क्षेत्रात लक्षणीय कामगिरी केलेल्या इतर १० व्यक्तींचा सन्मान केला होता.

याच सोहोळ्यात, सामाजिक बांधिलकी म्हणून रुपये २५ हजार एका गरजू सीकेपी कुटुंबाला देण्यात आले. तसेच श्री सुधीर वैद्य यांची तुला शालेय वह्यांनी करून त्या ६५ किलो वह्या “नूतन समर्थ विद्यालय” या पुण्यातील रेड लाईट वस्तीतील मुलांसाठी चालवल्या जाणाऱ्या शाळेला दान केल्या. या सोहोळ्याला ४०० च्या वर ज्ञातिबांधवांनी हजार राहून सामाजिक ऐक्य दाखवले.

इथून पुढे, “पुढचे पाऊल पुढेच टाका” या भावनेने, वाटेत येणाऱ्या अनेक अडचणींवर मात करत, १४ मे २०१८ रोजी “पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट”ची स्थापना झाली. २१ मे २०१८ रोजी, म्हणजे ट्रस्ट स्थापून फक्त एक आठवडा झाला असताना, विरार स्थित एका हृदयविकाराने त्रस्त सीकेपी व्यक्तीला तातडीची मदत म्हणून रु. ११ हजार देण्यात आले.

१ जुलै २०१८ रोजी सह्याद्री मानव सेवा मंच या पंढरपूरच्या वारकऱ्यांसाठी मेडिकल कॅम्प आयोजित करून वारकरी सेवेचे व्रत घेतलेल्या सेवाभावी संस्थेला पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टच्या सभासदांनी स्वयंसेवकाचे काम करून मदत केली. त्या संस्थेच्या कामाचा आवाका बघून नुसती स्वयंसेवक म्हणून मदतीखेरीज, आत्तापर्यंत पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टने सह्याद्री मानव सेवा मंचाला एकूण ३.६१ लाखांची मदत मिळवून दिली आहे.

२६ जानेवारी २०१९ रोजी पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टचा दुसरा गौरव सोहळा टिळक स्मारक नाट्यगृहात राष्ट्रप्रेमाच्या भावनेत संपन्न झाला. या कार्यक्रमात अंदाजे ७०० सीकेपी प्रेक्षकांसमक्ष देशासाठी लढलेल्या वीरांना, वीरपत्नींना पुरस्कृत करण्यात आले. तसेच काही सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्यांचा गुणगौरव करण्यात आला. याच कार्यक्रमात सह्याद्री मानव सेवा मंच, क्वीन मेरी’ज टेक्निकल इन्स्टिट्यूट, दादर सीकेपी एज्युकेशन संस्था यांना प्रत्येकी १.५ लाख रुपयांची मदत करण्यात आली. तसेच आनंदवन भूजल शाश्वत सहयोग या संस्थेला रु. ५० हजार अशी मदत केली.

सांगली / कोल्हापूर येथील पूरग्रस्त विद्यार्थ्यांना, पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टने १९ ऑगस्ट २०१९ रोजी, ABCKPMS या संस्थेशी संलग्न होऊन, ५० डझन वह्यांचे वाटप केले.

२०१९ची एक दिवाळी संध्याकाळ, धायरी येथील आई वृद्धाश्रमात तेथील मंडळींबरोबर स्नेहभोजनाचा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करून, आनंदाची देवाणघेवाण करत व्यतीत केली.

मे २०१९ मध्ये समूहाच्या एका सभासदाला तातडीची वैद्यकीय मदत म्हणून रु. २५ हजार बिनव्याजी कर्जरूपाने देण्यात आले. जे त्या सभासदाने ठरलेल्या हप्त्यांमध्ये वेळेत फेडले देखील. या मदतीची परतफेड करताना, पहिले दोन महिने काहीही फेड नसते. त्यानंतर प्रत्येक महिन्याला १०% याप्रमाणे पुढील १० महिन्यात सर्व हप्ते फेडून होतात. अशाप्रकारे तातडीची वैद्यकीय मदत करून पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट नेहमीच सर्वांच्या सोबत आहे.

२०२०चा गौरव सोहोळा २८ मार्च २०२० रोजी आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. पण कोरोना वैश्विक महामारीमुळे हा सोहोळा रद्द करावा लागला. पण अखंड समाजसेवेचे व्रत घेतलेल्या पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टने १४ मे २०२० रोजी, कुठलाही समारंभ न करता, सामाजिक आरोग्याचे भान ठेऊन, ठाणे स्थित सह्याद्री मानव सेवा मंच (गेली ३७ वर्षे वारकऱ्यांना वैद्यकीय सेवा पुरवणारी संस्था), पुणे स्थित सेवा सहयोग फाऊंडेशन (गरजू आणि होतकरू विद्यार्थ्यांना अर्थसहाय्य्य करणारी संस्था) व मुंबई स्थित अद्वित्य कला संगम ट्रस्ट (गतिमंद प्रौढांना सहाय्य्य करणारी संस्था) यांना प्रत्येकी १.५ लाख रुपयांची मदत केली. तसेच स्वामी विवेकानंद जीवनज्योत संस्था, पुणे यांना ५० डझन २०० पाणी वह्यांचे वाटप केले.

याशिवाय कोरोना लॉकडाऊनच्या काळात समाजातील १०० गरजू कुटुंबांना महिन्याचे किराणा सामान देणे, पुणे शहरातील विविध चौकीतील पोलीस, रस्त्यावर गस्त घालणारे पोलीस यांना सॅनिटायझर, फेसमास्क आणि ग्लोव्हज यांचे १५ हजार संच वाटप केले.

“आई” वृद्धाश्रम पुणे, “निवारा” वृद्धाश्रम पुणे आणि SAMPARC (लोणावळा) या संस्थांना वाणसामान आणि खाद्यतेल यांची मदत केली. लॉकडाऊनच्या कठीण काळात वझे गुरुजींच्या गोशाळेला चाऱ्याकरता रु. १० हजारांची रोख मदत केली. कोरोनाच्या काळात पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्टचे कार्यकर्ते सतत झटत होते.

गेल्या ४ वर्षात ट्रस्ट तर्फे १२,१८,०००/- रुपयांची मदत सामाजिक कार्यांसाठी करण्यात आली आहे. ह्या कार्यात वेळोवेळी सहभागी झालेल्या सर्व दानशूरांची पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट मनःपूर्वक आभारी आहे.

अशी ही पुणे सीकेपी पब्लिक ट्रस्ट. समाजासाठी कार्य करणारी, सर्व सण समारंभ एकोप्याने आनंदाने साजरे करणारी, खास सीकेपी समाजाची आपुलकीची संस्था.

A group is formed with the idea of “giving it back to the society”. Later, with this commitment, “Pune CKP Public Trust” was established. From this came the concept of finding the gems in the CKP community and glorifying their meritorious work. These are the personalities who have gone beyond boundaries of caste and worked for the welfare of the society and the country.

“Pune CKP Public Trust” evolved from a small WhatsApp group called “Pune CKP Family” which was started on 11th January 2016. This group decided to honour a respected member of the group Shri Sudhir Vaidya with the “Shiromani” award. This “Gaurav Sohola” was held on 18th March 2018 on the auspicious occasion of Gudipadva. Along with Mr. Sudhir Vaidya, 10 other persons who have made significant achievements in the field of arts, socialwork and industry were honoured on that day.

At the same function, Rs. 25,000 was given to a needy CKP family as a social commitment. Also, 65 Kg of school notebooks equal to the weight of Mr. Sudhir Vaidya were donated to “Nutan Samarth Vidyalaya”, a school run for children in the red light area of Pune. Over 400 CKP people showed their social solidarity at this festival.

Thereafter overcoming many obstacles along the way, “Pune CKP Public Trust” was established on 14th May 2018, with the spirit of “Take the next step forward”. On 21st May 2018, just one week after the establishment of the trust, a CKP person suffering from a heart attack in Virar was assisted with Rs. 11 thousand.

On 1st July 2018, members of Pune CKP Public Trust volunteered to help the Sahyadri Manav Seva Manch, who organises medical camps for Warkaris of Pandharpur as service for these people. Having seen this selfless service, apart from volunteering as a volunteer, Pune CKP Public Trust has so far donated a total of Rs 3.61 lakh to the Sahyadri Manav Seva Manch.

The 2nd “Gaurav Sohola” of Pune CKP Public Trust was held on 26th January 2019 at Tilak Smarak Natyagriha in the spirit of patriotism. In this program, in presence of an audience of about 700 CKP, the war-heroes who fought for the country and wives of such heroes were felicitated. Also work of few renowned social workers was praised. In the same program, Sahyadri Manav Seva Manch, Queen Mary’s Technical Institute, Dadar CKP Education Institute were given Rs. 1.5 lakh each. Also, Anandvan Bhujal Shashwat Sahayog was given Rs. 50 thousand.

Pune CKP Public Trust, in association with ABCKPMS, distributed 50 dozen books to the flood affected students in Sangli / Kolhapur on 19 August 2019.

One Diwali evening of 2019 was spent at the “Aai” Old Age Home at Dhayari, spending time with these people and exchanging joys.

In May 2019, a member of the group was given Rs. 25,000 as interest free loan as emergency medical assistance. This aid was returned on time, in instalments as agreed by that member. For the first two months of nothing is to be repaid. Thereafter all the instalments are paid in the next 10 months at 10% per month. Thus, Pune CKP Public Trust is always with everyone by providing emergency medical help.

The Gaurav Sohola 2020 was to be held on 28th March 2020. But due to the Corona Pandemic, this ceremony had to be cancelled. But the Pune CKP Public Trust, which has taken a vow of uninterrupted social service, on 14th May 2020, without any ceremony, with all the precautions set in place by the government, organized the donations of Rs. 1.5 lakhs each to Thane-based Sahyadri Manav Seva Manch (an organization providing medical services to Warakaris for the last 37 years), Pune-based Seva Sahyog Foundation (An organization helping the needy and deserving students) and the Mumbai-based Advitya Kala Sangam Trust (An organization helping the specially challenged adults). Also, the trust distributed 50 dozen 200 page notebooks to Swami Vivekananda Jeevanjyot Sanstha, Pune.

Apart from this, during the Corona Lockdown, 15,000 sets of sanitizers, face masks and gloves were distributed to the police at various outposts in Pune city and police patrolling the streets. Also, 100 needy families in the society were assisted with groceries for the month,

“Aai” Old Age Home Pune, “Nivara” Old Age Home Pune and SAMPARC (Lonavla) were provided with food and edible oil. During the difficult period of lockdown, Rs. 10 thousand in cash were given to Cowshed run by Vaze Guruji. Activists of Pune CKP Public Trust were constantly and tirelessly working during Corona Pandemic.

In the last 4 years, the trust has distributed an aid of Rs. 12,18,000 / – for various social causes. Pune CKP Public Trust would like to thank all the philanthropists who participated in this work from time to time.
